This may be it! :). I should have listened to the other reviews about the bugs in this game. I'm only on my second task and already experiencing problems. I am unable to interact with the "Pumpkinhead", thus unable to continue further into the game. I have tried restarting, reinstalling, changing resolutions and he still just stands there bobbing his head like a newborn trying to look around. I have submitted a report regarding this problem. If it gets fixed, I may change my review. However, until then, I suggest you save your money even if it is only a couple bucks.. Maybe I've just gotten too strategic with games similar to this, after playing others like FarmVille (don't judge) and Virtual Villagers, but I definitely think this was too short-lived. From what I've read, others agree, too. I think the characters are adorable, the missions straightforward and the overall concept really entertaining. It truly is a lot of fun, just don't expect for it to last too long. I know that I really wasn't expecting to get the "The End" screen when I did. Despite the two or three mini-bugs I encountered, I would definitely recommend this.. For the price, it's not a bad game at all. It's kind of cutesy and amusing and has some city-building elements along with patches of story. It's a bit shallow and a lot of the options like where you build things are fixed. Your path of growth is more or less laid out for you. The graphics, however, are quite nice and the characters are adorable. The atmosphere and lack of urgency is relaxing. It's, in every sense of the word, a casual game. It's also a gentle introduction to city-building for someone who has never played one before and isn't sure they want to drop $10-20 on one of the more genre-defining titles. Like I mentioned before, the city-building aspect is rather limited, but it's quaint. You get what you pay for and it's not a bad game to add to your collection.. Definately worth the dollar I paid for it! It's a cute game, and the environment and sounds make it easy to play from beginning to end. I found it easy on the head. Ya know those times when you just wanna chill out, but not play anything intense... this is the kinda game that's good for that. You basically get asked to do tasks to unlock areas and buildings then more tasks to level them up.There are a couple of bugs but nothing to your panties in a bunch over... ;P I showed one possible bug area in the Part 1 of my full playthrough. There is also a misleading mission asking you to fill an order for 5 units of wood (should have been worded "Planks" of wood). Here's Part 12 of the playthrough I made to clear up any confusion about it. It also contains the Fake Gold Mission.https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=L6REps1Ljbg&list=PLrsBivCXPDcd2bG0PVcnyMGHDvg7kkp9k&index=12In short... I got it dirt cheap during a sale and I'm glad I bought it! It also has Steam Trading Cards which is a bonus!. Game InformationThe Happy Hereafter is a Strategy game that was developed by Alawar Entertainment & Miraball and published by Buka Entertainment.Game VisualsI want to mentioned that the visuals in the game is well done. The visuals can be adjusted in the game's option menu,Game AudioI want to mentioned that audio for the game is well done. Even though the audio is somewhat simplistic and repetitive. The audio can be adjusted in the game's option menu as well.GameplayThe first foremost thing that I want to mention is that this game is slow pace. It is not for everyone. The Happy Hereafter, is a strategy stimulation game, where the players can control a certain type of characters, like the workers for example, they can be assigned certain jobs. Such as gather materials from the environment and building structures. All the while maintaining their happiness at max level. There are plenty of artifacts to collect from the environment. Most of the artifacts can be easily found immediately. There are quests in the game, they are given by the non-player characters, by completing the quest; the player unlocks a building plan. These building plans are used to build new structures in the game. The building progress is slow, it can be sped up by spending more workers to that particular location.MiscellaneousThere are five different trading cards to collect. The game only drop three of those trading cards. There are several ways to get the rest of the trading cards: Purchased from the Steam's Community Market; Trade with friends; Booster Packs and its' Booster Pack Creator. Final thoughts: I have found the game enjoyable to a certain extent. The replay value for the game is low. I would recommend this game, but not at the game's full price value.. An easy, very casual resource management game with no time limits. Basically the player builds a city for their zombies friends by setting the zombies to work, gathering food, farming, cutting wood, quarrying stone, and collecting gems and money. The point is upgrade everything, when everything is upgraded the game "ends". There are a few quests that need to be done such as helping a witch or growing a tree. It is a bit involved since to make money one needs to use the laboratory, workshop, and kitchen. And while managing all that the main warehouse gets attacked periodically by flying pigs, shining knights and grim reapers who steal the food. The player must defend the main warehouse by clicking on the thieves until all have been defeated. (Flying red pigs with a black mane that remind me of Monty Python's flying pigs.)Best thing about this game besides the lack of any time limits, is that it is more or less an open type world where the player controls who and what is being done. Plus the town square can be built however the player choses by buying street lamps, paving stones, fountain, and benches. A simple easy game for when one wants a break from time\/resource management games with timed linear fixed campaign levels.
